Room Cleanse [Ritual]

Keeping your room in a good state is better for many peoples mental health. Personally, when my room is messy, I spend a lot of time hiding from it. However, when it's clean I like to spend more time in there and I’m overall happier and in a better mood.

Change the lighting. Letting in natural sources of light instead of relying on artificial ones. Salt lamps are also good, so turn those on.

Change the airflow. Open a window if you can. It's the best way to feel like your room is refreshed and clean.

Change the sound. Put on some of your favourite cleansing music. This may be different from the music that you normally like to listen to. For me, I like action movie soundtracks without any words in them. It’s also my music for studying and writing so it really helps me focus.

Change the smell. Take out the trash!!!! Change your sheets so they smell like fresh laundry. Light a scented candle, heat up some oil or wax, light some incense.

Actually clean and organize. Pick up your laundry, declutter your vanity, DUST, be able to close your closet door and not have to hide any messes, do a purge if you must!

Cleanse any sacred spaces by themselves. Most of us have altars or shrines in our rooms and those need special care. A scared space can also just be a reading nook, but it's still your space and it should be taken care of accordingly. Take extra care to clean surfaces, straighten up, and make sure it feels good there.

Cleanse in your regular way. Bust out the herbs, the bells, the broom, whatever you need. (I have my cleansing spray!) Your room should be super primed and ready with most of the negative energy feeling removed already. A good once-over with your favourite cleaning method should finish it off nicely.

Refresh any wards or protection. If you maintain energy boarders in your room, nows a great time to check in on them and refresh them if needed!

Practice self-care. Take a shower, use a bath bomb, do a face-mask, eat some food, take a nap, do your nails, sit and read your favourite book. Its time for me time!
