Glamours
Glamours are illusions that a witch can cast on themselves. They can be used to make you more alluring, change how you appear to people, and even your aura or the energy people feel from you. They even can make you less noticeable. Many glamours are more like shields, you can push them through your skin and throw them up with ease.
Visualization is important when it comes to glamours, if you’re not good at it then you just need to practice. Practice all the time so you can get it right. The more to practice, the better you’ll get! I promise!
Glamours are harder to hold up with people who know you well. So if you have a best friend who’s known you for years and years, trying to change your eye colour around them isn’t going to work as well. But you can test that glamour on people that haven’t known you too long.
You can also visualize your aura changing. This is fun because you will notice the interactions around you changing.
When you cast a glamour, it is so very important that you believe in that glamour! Once you don’t believe in it or have a thought that goes against it, it will disappear. Believe your glamour with every part of you.
But practice makes perfect, so keep trying. Repetition is important. Refresh your glamours and keep at it!
You can take the energy from your blood and use it to form the glamour around your body. The idea is to convince other people that you look/feel different, so imagining words on your skin helps. Another way is by using the energy of your breath and forming it around the other person like a frog. Doing this you silently suggest what you need, like “you don’t notice me, you look over me and see no one there, but you're not worried.”
Having a glamour up all the time can be detrimental, please use them with caution. Don’t leave it on for too long. Replace them regularly, take them down when you are safe. Also, know that sometimes things are glamoured for a reason, so some things are better left alone if you’re trying to see through someone else's glamour. Just keep that in mind.
