Ending a Spell or Ritual
Properly concluding a spell or ritual is just as important as all the other parts. The final actions seal your spell, activate it, and allow you to step back into your everyday world.
It’s customary to close a spell with a definite statement. A few examples could be: “So mote it be” or “So it be now” or “So it is done” or even “Amen”.
If you have summoned any Deities, spirits, guardians, angels, or other entities to assist you, you must release them at the end of your ritual or spell. Do this with gratitude and respect. Just as you called forth these beings with chants, incantations, invocations, or other utterances, you’ll say so long to them verbally. If you’ve asked for assistance from specific beings, include their names in your parting statements.
