Cleansing a Space + My Cleansing Spray

To remove negative or unwanted energies, spirits, and imprints from an object or space. 

I’m not allowed to even light candles in my house (I live with my aunt) so smoke cleansing or something like that was never an option for me. I spent a long time looking up other options that I could use to cleanse my space. After some research, I came up with a recipe of my own that doesn’t smell a whole lot (my aunt is allergic to perfume and smoke so you can see my problem here) and I finally came up with this.

My spray:

Lavender - cleansing, purification

Sage - cleansing, purification, psychic clarity

Thyme - protection, cleansing

Sea Salt - purification, magical protection, blessing (I sometimes also use Pink Himalayan Salt, mostly because I feel better with it in my spray)

Moon Water

I crush the herbs with a mortar and peddle and then put them into the bottle*. If I’m going to add essential oils I have a darker bottle and if not I have a clear one. I’ll then add the essential oils (I dilute them before I add them into the bottle.) Next, I add salt and finally the Moon Water.

Side note*

If the spray bottle isn’t working no matter how much you shake the dang thing, wait 24 hours then take it out of the bottle and put it through a strainer to take out the herbs. Put the liquid back into the bottle and it should work just fine.

Optional additions:

Rosemary - protection

Basil - purification, calming

Essential oils - lavender and sage I have used in this mixture and have gotten amazing results

Keep in mind, you have to dilute your essential oils in a carrier oil before using them. The Moon water will not dilute it for you.

How and when to use:

I use the spray after I’ve cleaned my room, changed my bed sheets, vacuumed, etc. Any time I also am feeling down and I don’t want to leave my room. If I’m not tired, I’ll spray it on my sheets to help me sleep. (Not on my pillow though because fun fact; I actually do not like the smell of lavender. Don’t ask me why.)

You can spray your curtains if you want it to blow protection and cleansing into your home. (I don’t have curtains so I’ve personally never tried this but I would love to have curtains just for this purpose.)
